The Lynn Fire Department's mission is to protect our community from the loss of life and property resulting from fires, medical emergencies, hazardous incidents, and other disasters. We will accomplish our mission through prevention, education, fire suppression, medical services, and other related emergency and non-emergency activities. We will actively participate in our community, serve as role models, and strive to utilize all of the necessary resources available and at our command to provide a service deemed excellent by our citizens.

The Lynn Arson Squad is comprised of a team consisting of the Chief, a Lieutenant and a Firefighter all of whom are Certified Fire Investigators.

The squad is responsible for the investigation of every suspicious fire in  the city of Lynn, whether it's a building, a vehicle, a boat, or brush. The Arson Squad works closely with the Lynn Police, State Police, and Federal  Law enforcement agencies in its investigations and are renowned among local fire investigators for their expertise and professional success.

Emergency Medical Services (EMS) is located at the Lynnfield Street Station. It is staffed by an EMT Captain and Paramedic Firefighter.

Their responsibilities include professional development and oversight for the Lynn Fire Department Advanced Life Support (ALS) ambulance unit as well as scheduling and conducting departmental medical training.

Free CPR courses are also offered.

Car Seat Information
Car Seats can be installed Monday through Friday 9 AM to 5 PM by appointment.
