Welcome to the Lynn Retirement Board

The mission of the Lynn Retirement Board is to serve the members of the City of Lynn Retirement System who include employees, retirees, and beneficiaries of the City of Lynn, the Lynn Housing Authority, and the Lynn Water and Sewer Commission.

We are charged with administering the defined benefit pension plan mandated by Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 32.  We have a fiduciary responsibility to prudently and professionally manage the assets of the System to ensure our qualified members will be provided with their guaranteed benefits.

The Lynn Retirement Board has the staff necessary to manage the day to day operation of the System.  The staff will maintain members’ records and administer retirement, disability, and death benefits, as well as offering counsel and other timely member services as required.
